MFW SS15: Fendi

Given its, as always, luxurious-artisanal craftsmanship, Fendi’s SS15 show literally blossoming this morning at Milan Fashion week.

The geometric lines of AW14 evolved to more structured feather mini-dresses in black, light blue and baby pink accompanied with opaque clutches. Last season’s furry items were absent while the catwalk was lined by leather, sleek, organza, see-through, some latex and suede elements. Denim was also seen with loose trousers, shirts and jackets giving a youthful freshness. Breezy black maxes, leather jackets in painstakingly hand-beaded details were accessorized with cat-eye futuristic sunglasses, oversized leather and botanical print bags and sporty-luxe sandals. 3D floral garments oozed the blossoming sensuality while sporty joggers with sleeved shirts gave a sense of chic casual.

The witty alchemy of casual and chic earned Karl Lagerfeld some deservedly rapturous applause at the end of the show.
