MFW SS18: Tod’s

SOFT yellows and blues, layers of white and deep sunset gradients all fittingly inspired by the height of the Italian summer, Tod’s present a SS18 collection oozing the warmth of the Mediterranean. The refreshing looks radiated heat and were modelled in Milan by the likes of Kendall Jenner, styled with wind-swept hair that further implied the sea-breeze summer vibes being put forward by the collection.

Snake and cow skin bags, bangles and loafers featured alongside the classic leather accessories that Tod’s are renowned for. Glass found particularly notable the painted landscape tops, shirts and raincoats that stood  as the most decorative pieces seen on the SS18 runway. These pieces bring the whole concept of the Italian summer to a full stop by literally incorporating the scenes onto the garments.

The strict palette forced Tod’s to get creative with a range of designs and silhouettes that led to a selection of extremely wearable items to revamp women’s wardrobes in 2018. Each look is able to be completely deconstructed and remixed with other products in the line to create an infinite amount of possibilities. Offering luxury through clean tailoring and simple shapes, Tod’s continues to prove it’s smooth craftsmanship and knack for understanding its audience.
