Paris menswear AW15: Givenchy

Givenchy AW15 menswear brought together angels and witches in a dark show filled with mystical forces in Paris. Fire red juxtaposed with black fabrics, religious accessories, skulls and tribes, ghostly masks, stitched mouths, and gothic echoes created a spiritual atmosphere while the surrounding candles and the antique sofas enhanced the otherworldly vibes.

The boys walked on a glittery red rug mainly in tailored black and red pinstripe tuxedos, black leather and a few baggy sweatshirts matched with dark nail polish and slicked-down hair while print garments were pervasive throughout the show. Also, several womenswear looks adorned in pearls with airy transparent long dresses, added a contradictory, however still dark , romanticism.

Riccardo Tisci’s collection expressing his “dark obsessions” was a quirky marriage of darkness, theatricality and mystical romanticism.
