Pierre Hardy celebrates their 20th anniversary this September

REINVENTING the original stiletto, the Blade heel from Pierre Hardy’s first collection makes a return this September for the brand’s 20th Anniversary.

Considered one of the most influential shoe designers of his time and with many years working for luxury brands such as Hermès, Pierre Hardy wished to leave his own creative signature and founded his eponymous brand in 1999.

Hardy’s designs are timeless hybrids of numerous cultural, artistic and architectural inspirations. Graphic drawings, sculptural work, and the use of colours are inherent to the brand’s identity.

Commenting on the inspiration for the Blade heel, Hardy said he “wanted to re-invent the stiletto heel. Like a stiletto, it’s sharp, thin, and balanced, but with a new shape.”

The Blade’s shape is refined, assured and radical – its geometry speaks to the feminine curves of the foot. This sculptural shape, seen from its profile view, galvanises the classical stiletto and becomes an iconic style.

The Blade will be available in Pierre Hardy Paris, New York & Tokyo stores and online from September 2019 for 595€.
