To celebrate the arrival of the Andy Warhol Unlimited Exhibition at the Paris National Museum of Modern Art, the Dorchester collection’s Le Meurice has conceived a special Pop Art Package. For the duration of the event, the hotel will pay homage to the leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. The exhibition features the Shadows series (1978-1979), an exhibit of more than 200 works which makes its European debut.
Centrally located opposite the Tuileries Gardens, Le Meurice has been the source of inspiration to many of its famous guests, including Salvador Dali, Coco Chanel, Pablo Picasso, Jean Cocteau and Andy Warhol himself
Andy Warhol was fascinated by consumerism and the cultural habits in the United States, even being filmed unwrapping and eating a hamburger for over four minutes and saying “my name is Andy Warhol and I just finished eating a hamburger”.

Le Meurice’s chef, Christophe Saintagne, has revisited the traditional hamburger with a French twist using locally sourced produce. Pastry chef, Cédric Grolet, has also drawn inspiration from Warhol’s artistic vision and has created a mini-collection of four choux pastries in bright colours.
The Pop Art Package includes: a minimum of one night for two people, American breakfast, two skip-the-queue-tickets for the exhibition, a catalogue from the exhibition, and lunch or dinner including the hamburger and Pop Art pastries.
