Russian Wonderland


Inspired by the Russian fairytales and forests and the enchantments of this stories, Nadja Solovieva, created Vassilisa, a London based luxury printed accessories and clothing brand, worn by style-icons like Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalia Vodianova, Charlize Theron, Cate Blanchett and Elle Macpherson.

Born in Moscow, Nadja, studied at St Martin’s College of Art and went on to train with Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, before launching her own brand in 2008. Only three years after she was awarded the British Fashion Council Elle Talent Launch Pad Award.

Vassilisa is inspired by Solovieva’s folklore heritage but also by art, mythology and nature, creating a world of mystery and magic. All the designs are created using the most exquisite silk and cashmere, so that every scarf, skirt or caftan is as unique and feminine as what inspired them. The beautiful prints are the core of Vassilisa, being that Solovieva is also a recognised and internationally published artist and illustrator.
