DESPITE fast fashion’s biggest event of the season, Black Friday, Vagabond was proud to announce its new sustainability manifesto, Make Every Step Count, instead.
With being at the core of the brand, the Vagabond Shoemakers aim to highlight the four C’s, The Craft, The Choice, The Care and The Change, to raise awareness across all steps of the process. Being careful to not base its designs on short-term trends, the house distinctively selects materials that portray the thoughtfulness behind its message.
Vagabond, Make Every Step Count
This sustainability concept will be a continuation of a growing design philosophy and heritage, producing high-quality, well-crafted leather shoes in such a way that is considerate to our precious planet – no nature was harmed here.
Vagabond quickly noticed that timeless essentials are being favoured beyond fast trending goods and that prolonging the life of something you love means more than something new. The loop of overconsumption is progressively closing as an urge to pass unwanted shoes on to reuse and recycle is finally promoted.
Vagabond, Make Every Step Count
“We are dedicated to designing shoes and accessories that are made to be loved. Items should be treasured, used, and reused. Grow older, just like we do. Making our products lovable and durable means they will be worn for longer. And the more steps they carry you, the closer we get to our joint mission, turning fashion from fast to slow. Therefore, every step is important. From the leather we choose to the shoes you use. Together, we make every step count” – reads the Make Every Step Count manifesto.
