Glass TV

Behind-the-scenes with Lesley Manville

WITH A career that spans half a century, Lesley Manville has triumphantly surpassed her contemporaries and etched her name into acting history.

Currently on stage in Robert Icke’s Oedipus in the West End, Alfonso Cuarón’s Disclaimer on Apple TV+, The Critic in UK cinemas and soon in Luca Guadagnino’s next feature film, Queer; the British actor is far from easing off the gas – in fact she’s in the fast lane.

For GLASS’ Autumn Issue, she sits down with us during rehearsals to reflect on her favoured ability to never be typecast and her knack for staying at arms-length with all her characters.
