Chanel Names Lucia Pica as Global Creative Make-up and Color Designer

Chanel have recently joined forces with renowned make-up artist Lucia Pica who will be their Global Creative Make-up and Color Designer as of January 1, 2015. This is the first time the brand have made such an appointment since the departure of Peter Phillips who moved to Dior. Like Chanel’s iconic founder, the Italian make-up artist isn’t afraid to shake things up and break a few rules (such as the “bold eyes or lips but not both” which she shows a wonderfully blatant disregard for if her Instagram page is anything to go by).

Having worked on a number of high-profile shoots for the likes of Vogue and i-D, she is frequently spotted backstage at shows such as Roksanda and Peter Pilotto. As well as her no-holds-barred use of colour, she is also famed for her stark, nude make-up looks – in particular her signature glowing skin. We’re looking forward to seeing what she creates for next year …
