Finding some Headspace in Hong Kong

A Google-led connected consumer survey summarises that residents in Hong Kong use on average three connected devices a day. A further study claims that while 95 per cent of smartphone usage takes place at home, 87 per cent of us can not resist using our phones on the go. An insight which identifies a nation of people addicted to technology and are continually connected.

This month, Headspace, the world’s leading meditation application came to Hong Kong to challenge us to switch off, for only 10 minutes a day and see improvements in our health, happiness, creativity and relationships.

Gym_membership_for_the_mind_2Founded by Andy Puddicombe and Rich Pierson, Headspace makes meditation an accessible practice for the busiest of urban lifestyles through simple to follow online and mobile meditation classes. Sessions can be taken in transite, between meetings and during your daily commute. With followers around the world including Gwyneth Paltrow, Arianna Huffington and Emma Watson, Headspace preaches the necessity to exercise the mind, as you would your body.
