Tom Ford AW18 Womenswear Runway Beauty Looks

TOM FORD’S AW18 womenswear collection wasn’t the only debut storming the runway at New York’s Park Avenue Armory during fashion week. Tom Ford Extrême, the latest addition to his range of cosmetics also had its showcase. Diverting all attention to the eyes, Tom used his own signature smokey eye for inspiration alongside a contemporary interpretation of ‘60s model Edie Sedgewick’s smoke-black eye.

For a subtle shimmer of micronised glitter, models wore Shadow Extrême in the carbon shade of TFX10, on the eyelid and lightly on the lower lash line to round the eye for a contrast against the sharp brow bone. Eye Kohl Intense in onyx black is used to emphasise the lash line. Being applied darkest at the rim, it is blended into the shadow for that smokey aesthetic. A final touch of High-shine Eye Gloss completes the smoke encased in glass look Ford was aiming for.

Eyebrows are shaped for a natural, boyish look and enhanced with the Brow Sculptor and the architecture of the face is given definition using the Shade and Illuminate contour kit. To perfect the nude lips sported by models, Ford debut the Tom Ford Lip Colour, which is set to be released in August. Tom Ford nail polish was used for the natural, half-moon manicures and a spray of the Vanille Fatale fragrance for a multi-sensory finish to the look.
