BALENCIAGA reveals its latest piece, the Bel Air bag, with an alluring new campaign to launch on August 29th, 2024.
Featuring an illustrious cast that includes brand ambassadors Isabelle Huppert and Michelle Yeoh, along with renowned actress Naomi Watts, the campaign is brought to life through a series of mesmeric photographs and behind-the-scenes videos shot by Nadav Kander.

In a minimalist setting of simple chairs against a white backdrop, the three stars each embody a unique character, dressed in signature Balenciaga ready-to-wear. Trompe-l’oeil pantashoes, printed artworks, kick silhouettes, and evening dresses take centre stage, all while the Bel Air bag plays a starring role.
Named after the eminent Los Angeles neighbourhood, the bag draws inspiration from the glamour of its namesake and follows in the footsteps of Balenciaga’s seminal piece, the Rodeo bag.
Michelle Yeoh for Balenciaga
The Bel Air bag features a logo-engraved metal twist lock that joins two slender belts across its broad front, a hallmark of its refined yet effortless design. Crafted from naturally smooth leather that develops a unique grained patina over time, the bag is lined with soft Nappa and finished with a matte transparent coating, highlighting the material’s luxurious qualities. Its construction is fortified yet deceptively relaxed, promising to be a timeless heirloom.
