Fendi showcase their new High Jewellery designs in Paris

DEBUTING their High Jewellery designs are Fendi, as glimmers of white and gold are shone throughout their Couture Autumn/Winter 2022 collection in Paris.

Designed by Fendi’s Artistic Director of Jewellery, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, the spectacles created pay tribute to Fendi’s Roman heritage, through diamonds that showcase the unique nature of pure light expressions, movements, and optimism.

Against the flurry of treasured pave and baguette white diamonds is the iconic, inverted FF monogram, designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1965, as it is carried through a beam of natural yellow baguette diamonds within all the designs.

The range includes earrings, a necklace and a cocktail ring that feature the Fendi Flavus parure as it circles around a geometric ensemble of stones. The Latin term flavus is an ode to the Roman signification for yellow, and as it is sewn into a stream of white and fancy vivid yellow diamonds, it portrays an inspiring scene of colour and light.

The Flavus necklace is a downward pointing piece of symmetry in white and yellow gold, showered in articulated branches of differing lengths, dangling on a double strand of diamond solitaires. Complete with over 1000 stones, a great fancy vivid yellow emerald cut diamond is at the very heart of the finery as its framed at opposite corners by the inverted FF monogram.

Inspired by that of a Roman fountain, the fluidity of this piece is key in showcasing the sparkling precision that is Fendi’s craftsmanship. The seamless fusing of the elements is taken from Delfina Delettrez Fendi’s obsession with the accord between kinetic forms and the human body.

The Flavus earrings provide the same rolling tide in two mirrored cascades that each echo the same adored statement of the FF monogram in yellow diamond baguettes around a central fancy vivid yellow emerald cut diamond.

The Flavus ring repeats this motif in a singular, fearless 360-degree action.

“Rooted in Roman mythology, the Fendi Flavus parure, a first preview of High Jewellery from the House, melds the mechanical and the organic with a dose of sculptural, mid-century glamor from the Cinecittà.”
