Glass previews Tom Andrew’s new film Daniel Avery: Under The Tallest Arch

PHOTOGRAPHER and filmmaker Tom Andrew has released a new short film Daniel Avery: Under The Tallest Arch. Compiled from archive video footage taken in clubs, Andrew explores the images with live interactive projections in a motion capture studio.

Capturing club culture and the effects of music and lighting on state of mind, three unnamed characters move in choreographed motions, shifting in accordance to light and sound. The film becomes a space where the senses take precedence over everything else, with sole focus on the visual and sound aspects and the effects these have on the viewer. Vividly surrealist in black and white, the film is an experimental exploration of the internalised mind.
