FROM a young age, Lanvin’s Creative Director, Bruno Sialelli has been fascinated by the comic world and the characters within it.
So for SS22, Catwoman and Batman have been given the chance to do a playful takeover of the historic French House. Ahead of the collaboration’s glosbal launch later in March, the brand has released an insight into what is to be expected.

So far, the two characters themselves appear on garments such as asymmetric shirts, metal mesh dresses and a leather trench coat. Whilst elsewhere, the Batmobile can be seen printed across crop tops, bags and bucket hats.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC have reimagined the sophisticated world of Lanvin, using their bold classic colours of blue and purple freely over the garments. Like Batman’s, they’ve made the shoulders bold and the cuts dramatic, using fabrics such as satin and fine wool.
However, throughout it all, managing to never eradicate the delicacy that’s synonymous to the brand and, in particular, Sialelli’s designs.
