THE trio of Chinese restaurateurs and entrepreneurs who are responsible for the supremely popular restaurant chain BAO have launched a new Taiwanese restaurant Xu in the heart of Chinatown.
In line with Shing Tat Chung, Wai Ting Chung and Erchen Chang’s dedication to research and learn about Taiwanese food and culture in order to reproduce it for a British audience, Xu will launch two private dining rooms in early October that double up as beautifully designed and furnished Mahjong games rooms, providing a unique dining experience.

During the launch week, the first week in October, a Mahjong expert will be on hand to help inexperienced guests – but each room contains a list of instructions on how to play the game.

The Xu rooms can be hired for £75 per person, which includes three hours exclusive hire of the room to play Mahjong and an accompanying special feasting set menu – some of the dishes are only available in the Mahjong room.
Xu is open from the beginning of October
