Axel Arigato drops the Daze Runner

SWEDISH label Axel Arigato has just released the Daze Runner, a new unisex sneaker designed for a refined, minimal everyday option for your running wardrobe.

The third silhouette in their runner series, following the Slow Runner and Tact Runner from earlier this year, each pair is handcrafted in Portugal, continuing the brand’s focus on quality materials and construction.

The latest style is crafted from soft 100% Italian suede, featuring a low profile and subtle squared toe. These sneakers are accompanied by asymmetric overlays and wavy seams, which break up the sneaker’s otherwise sleek look, adding a point of difference to the classic lines. As the Creative Director, Jens Werner, puts it: “We wanted to create something familiar yet forward. An everyday shoe that feels effortless and considered.”

Built within Axel Arigato’s Dice family of sneakers, the Daze Runner features a simplified four-piece construction and sits on a rubber outsole that draws inspiration from knitted textiles. Plus, the sole design connects back to the brand’s AW25 theme, which focused heavily on plays with fabric and textures. While inside, there’s plenty of comfort thanks to the bamboo-cotton terry lining and an Italian leather sock.

The sneaker comes in three neutral, wearable colourways: black, grey, and dark grey. The branding is also minimal, featuring a small, distorted Axel Arigato logo that’s debossed on the tongue, keeping the whole look understated.
