DE BEERS has announced the launch of the Four Seasons medals – an addition to their Talisman collection. The new piece of jewellery combines the energy of the seasons with the romance that diamonds symbolise, set with both polished, cut diamonds, as well as rough ones.
Talisman One Off Spring Medal
The use of the seasons as inspiration acts as a constant reminder of the forces of nature that we cannot control. With the temperatures ever-changing, the climate becoming warmer and colder, diamonds remain unaffected and still a signature of what nature can create. De Beers welcomes four one-off designs that each one of the Talisman medals reflects either spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Talisman One Off Summer Medal
Drawing on the four unique characteristics of each season, the diamonds are set in white, yellow and rose gold that mirror the journey of a flower from the warmth of spring to the coldness of winter. Each medal features the signature serti poinçon setting technique creating a very feminine look.
Talisman One Off Autumn Medal
The rough diamonds remain uncut and unpolished for an authentic finish, ensuring that each medal is unique to the customer. The De Beers Talisman has used untouched diamonds in fine jewellery, since their launch of this collection in 2005. The serti poinçon technique uses outstanding skill and technical precision to lift the diamond above the surface of the metal, thus increasing its light reflect sparkle. Approximately only one in every 1000 rough diamonds is considered to be of the standard of De Beers Talisman creations.
