JW Anderson releases AW19 Womenswear campaign in collaboration with Tyler Mitchell

CAREFREE and elegant, JW Anderson’s AW19 campaign pays homage to the great British countryside, maintaining their unique aesthetic and ongoing dialogue between menswear and womenswear design elements.

First-timer models Krisha, Djeneba, Rose and Enomha were street cast especially for the project and capture a youthful spirit, posing on wooden stilts. Dressed in broad shouldered jackets and ankle-length dresses in pastoral shades, the ensembles allude to the wispy wheat ears surrounding them – the girls appear as if plucked straight from the pages of a Thomas Hardy novel.

The campaign was shot by rising star photographer and filmmaker Tyler Mitchell and styled by long time Jonathan Anderson collaborator, Benjamin Bruno. The images from the new release are installed on the façade of the brand’s forthcoming London Soho Flagship store location, offering a peaceful contrast to the urban streets of central London.
