KIM Jones brings back the exceptionally big floral teddy bear, which served as a backdrop during his Dior men’s ss19 show, for his first Dior Summer Campaign. This character comprising of 70,000 flowers and conceived by New York-based artists KAWS represents the founder of the French mansion, Christian Dior himself.

The first summer campaign under the artistic direction of Kim Jones is shot by the talented Steven Meisel and presents a new type of masculine allure, call it Dior neo-romanticism if you will.

The ss19 collection ranges from tailored looks in soft pastels to more nonchalant sportswear in monochromatic colours, yet with touches of colour and class. There is a certain sense of humour connected to the collection, be it in the prints made in collaboration with KAWS or the iconic embroidered Dior bee-logo that has been transformed into a cartoon.
