Orit Elhanati and Conie Vallese unveil new jewellery collection

REPUTABLE artist Orit Elhanati unveils a new jewellery collection made in collaboration with Argentinian-born practitioner Conie Vallese. Drawing inspiration from their different backgrounds, Vallese and Elhanati have announced their latest collection to be a melange of gothic Victorian and 90s aesthetics.

Although the artists have contrasting styles, the collection effortlessly merges Vallese’s sculptural expertise with Elhanati’s Nordic-inspired minimalist approach.

The new offering, Jardin, is heavily influenced by historical art with motifs used throughout the collection alluding to ancient books and parables. The focal point of the collection is womanhood and mother nature.

A symbolic flower is featured throughout the selection to embody sentiments of grace, power and dexterity in relation to the naturalistic world.

Maintaining an emphasis on luxury, prestige and glamour, the pieces are all crafted using sterling silver with delicate black diamonds and spinels – the Victorian gothic inspiration being beautifully apparent.

The silver – expertly treated to a soft, matte finish – shines in contrast to the black detailing and accents of the collection. Elhanati’s work often focuses on such juxtapositions and exemplifies the ephemerality of the silver works of art.

Consisting of earrings, rings, pendants, bracelets, hairpins and a brooch, one is certain to find an appealing piece to add to their jewellery entourage. The collection will be available from exclusive stockists and on www.elhanati.com from the 2nd of October with prices ranging from €190 to €2200.
