Angèle named as the face of the newly launched Chanel Chance Eau Splendide

A NEW fragrance has joined the Chanel Chance family of joyful scents – and this time it’s Splendide.

Adding a purple hue to the Chance pastel palette, the fifth in the collection (another lucky No.5 for Chanel perhaps?) the paradoxical and enchanting Eau Splendide has facets of radiant lightness underpinned by a darker sense of mystery.

Created by Chanel In-House Perfumer-Creator Olivier Polge, who says “Eau Splendide is a luminous, spontaneous and captivating fragrance.” His father Jacques Polge made the original Chance in 2002.

The joyful and sophisticated Eau Splendide combines a sparkling raspberry accord made of crisp fruit, rose and violet notes with a beautiful, lush floral rose geranium heart.

To create the paradox of Eau Splendide, these bright and flowery accents are underscored by deeper wood and powdery iris tones which is supported by white musk. The perfect balance of these contrasting notes creates the intriguing paradox of Eau Splendide.

The launch campaign is fronted by Belgian singer Angèle van Laekent – a friend of Chanel since 2020 when she appeared in an eye make-up campaign. This coincided with the debut of her first album Brol. She sings about Eau Splendide on her track “A little More” which she specially wrote for the campaign which is directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
