Blenheim Palace welcomes a new exhibition: Icons of British Fashion

BLENHEIM PALACE welcomes its latest exhibition, Icons of British Fashion, a spectacle delving into the rich history of some of Britain’s most influential fashion designers and labels.

The exhibition — sponsored by the luxury retail park, Bicester Village — is currently being held at the Palace until the 30th of June and will be open to the public and anyone interested in exploring the history behind one of the biggest fashion hubs in the world.

Guests are greeted with a sophisticated entrance as they step onto a red carpet taking them up to the Palace, where they will enter a world adventuring into the archive of some of the most influential designers and labels of our time, such as Dame Vivienne Westwood, Barbour, Stella McCartney and Stephen Jones Millinery for Christian Dior — just to name a few.

Each fashion icon has a designated room in the Palace, allowing its guests to fully immerse themselves into their unique archive, where they will be allowed to observe classic silhouettes alongside pieces that have never been publicised, including crafted items by Lulu Guinness for Blenheim Palace.

As part of the exhibition, the UNESCO World Heritage Site collaborated with a few designers in honouring the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sir Winston Churchill.

As an ode to the former Prime Minister, there will be a display of original Churchill Siren Suits alongside a new interpretation of the renowned boiler suit and a specially crafted smoking cap by Stephen Jones with Churchill’s initials and a clementine in its lining as an ode to his wife.
