The first to be released – The Baguette is Back – follows a group of four friends and their glamorous escapades around the glittering city of Shanghai, accompanied by their brand new Baguette bags. Filmed with a gloriously 1990s style and grain, the video opens in the city’s Fendi store, as the friends are browsing through an array of beautiful dresses – before suddenly seeing the Baguette bags on display. Gasping in delight, they pull them from the shelves and wear them with glee. We see Baguette bags of all sizes in hues of purples, pinks and pale blue, embossed with the Fendi monogram.

The friends then bring them home in copious amounts of iconic yellow Fendi bags, before proceeding to try them on with every item in their wardrobe. Sequinned dresses, embossed skirts and silken shirts accompany the sea of Baguette bags scattered across the bed and dressing room. This is when we first encounter a silver sequinned Baguette, only for a matter of seconds – perhaps a taste of what is to come?

The friends then take on the night, dressed to impress with their new Baguette bags taking pride of place – pendulous from arms, shoulders and wrists. When a suited bouncer inquires as to the contents of one of the friend’s bags, she simply replies, “This is not a bag, it’s a Baguette!”

They bring with them a feeling of global interest and excitement to the new release of the Fendi’s Baguette bag.
Stay tuned, as we are introduced to the adventures of more friends as we travel to Hong Kong and New York to continue the #BaguetteFriendsForever series.
