TEAMS were the running theme at the Kent and Curwen SS18 collection. Presented in Covent Garden, where the Kent and Curwen first shop will be opening. Set up in a vintage style basketball court, guest were able to walk around the models with various cocktails and wines before the models walked the gym hall.
An ‘90s electric-indie soundtrack played as a heritage sportswear collection debuted. The English rose motif was seen throughout the garments highlight the designer’s roots. A favourite look at Glass was the red-tailored bomber jacket which adorned the rose on the left breast. The larger collar lapels and metal buttons fitted perfectly with the too-long cream cricket trousers.
Another look was the green, white and red pinstripe suit. The ‘50s style Derby day suit had a modern twist as it was assembled with white trainers, an untucked striped shirt and a army, over-sized trench coat.
Loose cream tank-tops with stripes and tailored shorts gave an old school boxing attire feel as did a frayed cream knitted jumper which gave a cricket feel. Calf-length socks and thick, hefty scarfs were also seen. The Kent and Curwen collection gave a very classic, British sportswear aura while still being very contemporary. Daniel Kearns and David Beckham are certainly feeling very patriotic for SS18.
