JOINING forces with the eponymous British brand Paul Smith, Mulberry releases a new capsule collection based on its classic Antony bag. The Antony collection, built of 10 pieces, emphasises the timelessness of British craftsmanship and artistry.
In marrying the refined leather goods of Mulberry with Paul Smith’s strong interest in stripes, patterns and colour, the collection exudes contemporary elegance.
The classic Antony bag is available in three different sizes and is accompanied by two new silhouettes – the Antony Clip and the Antony Tote. Functionality, adaptability and style combine and ensure that the collection is a go-to for any occasion.
Available in different colour-ways including heavy-grain black leather and a colour-blocking, bright finish, the bags complement any autumnal wardrobe.
Speaking on the collaboration, Sir Paul Smith says: “Paul Smith and Mulberry were founded within a year of each other in the 1970s, so you could say our brands grew up and came of age together. I think that’s at least partly why we share such a similar to creativity and craft – that and our Britishness”.
Staying true to their British heritage, the brands agreed that each piece of the collection should be produced on British soil – specifically in Somerset. Mulberry’s carbon-neutral leather factories are based in Somerset and exemplify the brand’s strive for sustainability.
With plans to run an entirely circular business model by 2030, Mulberry demonstrates the importance of sustainable practice within the luxury market.
