IN THE celebratory spirit of the upcoming Chinese New year, Valentino launches a special release to honour the Chinese culture and the significance of red – a symbolic colour of festivity in the carnival of the lunar year.
The campaign, entitled Valentino Rosso Toile Iconographe, features Chinese actresses, including the brand’s long-time ambassador Sun Li, and her younger sister, actress Sun Yan. Both dressed in hues of red, they star in Valentino’s latest pattern – Valentino Toile Iconography, embroidered on the brand’s iconic Rosso colour. Sporting from shirts and capes to knitwear, dresses, shorts, and skirts, the capsule evokes feelings of reunion and celebration deeply associated with this special holiday.
Featuring the iconic VLogo, described as “the key element of this exclusive capsule”, the accessories are just as festively apt as the dresses, including embellishments of Valentino’s Toile Iconography to match the looks. These include Garavani Valentino Garavani Le Cinquième Toile Iconographe small tote, Garavani Locò bag, bucket bat and boots, foulard and scarf bandeaux, all completed with sunglasses envisioned in collaboration with Akoni.
