For anyone wanting to trace the footsteps of the late, great, and coolest cat, David Bowie, there is an electric, eclectic London brasserie and bar, a homage to the Starman himself, at a significant geographic marker of his days on planet Earth.
The brasserie, Ziggy Green, inspired by Bowie’s 1972 album, ‘The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust’ is at the very corner in London where the album artwork was created. Collaborator, British photographer Brian Ward, had his studio at that time on Heddon Street and as Bowie wanted to find a back street that would look urban and possibly like an alley in New York, Bowie and Ward walked outside and found a corner on the street.
Photographed during the fading evening light, against brick walls and doorways, and then inside a light-filled, old-school red telephone box, the legendary images were captured.

Ziggy Green, celebrating the life of David Bowie and the legacy of Ziggy Stardust, is filled with bold, colourful artwork and 70’s-inspired furniture and lighting that conjure a touch of an art nouveau, ‘juke-joint’ atmosphere.
Swoon and croon from your barstool with cocktails named from Bowie’s song lyrics: ‘When Ziggy Played Guitar’ – Arras rose’, Coral gin, Tosalini Fragola liqueur, strawberry syrup, and Raspberry Air; ‘The Spiders From Mars’- Papa Salt gin, fresh lemon juice, homemade raspberry syrup, and foam bitter; ‘Major Tom’ – Buttered mushroom infused Papa Salt gin, Dubonnet Rouge, Akashi-Tai Junmai Ginjo, and homemade raisin shrub. ‘Ashes To Ashes’ – Elephant Sloe Gin, Ojo De Dios espadin, homemade forest berry & thyme jam, and Supasawa.

Generations of Bowie fans stop and imagine time travelling to that evening when the camera’s shutter snapped and captured the moment before Bowie’s alter ego, Ziggy Stardust disappeared into the hazy cosmic jive.
