ALEXANDER MCQUEEN have announced an new initiative to their many million followers, which champions artistic expression and creativity during these times of hardship.
Starting from today, the house is encouraging it’s followers across all social media channels – including the 9.5 million that follow the brands acclaimed Instagram account – to engage artistically in a new way each week with selected archive imagery. A curated selection of this varied work will then be published onto the brands social accounts.

Each week McQueen intend to release a new concept. “These will connect our followers with our own McQueen teams and collaborators, from our design studio to universities and students, through a series of digital tutorials,” stated the brand following the announcement.
Alexander McQueen AW19 Rose Dress
This week, the house is looking to the Roses Instillation, opened on the top floor of their Old Bond Street store at the end of last year. Asking followers to produce a sketch of the brands AW19 finale Rose Dress – the centrepiece of the instillation and a homage to the brand’s heritage. Future projects are set to include 3-D creation and hand embroidery from home, among other initiatives that will also be revealed weekly on their social channels.
