DIPTYQUE has introduced a new interpretation of one of its best-known fragrances with the launch of Orphéon Eau de Toilette, a lighter variation inspired by the Parisian jazz bar that once sat beside the brand’s original boutique in Saint-Germain.
The story behind Orphéon dates back to the ’60s, when the Orphéon jazz club next door to Diptyque’s boutique at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain became a meeting place for artists, writers and musicians. The brand’s founders spent many evenings there, and the atmosphere of the bar first inspired the Orphéon Eau de Parfum released in 2021.

Diptyque Orphéon Eau de Toilette
This new Eau de Toilette, created by perfumer Natalie Cetto, opens with citrus notes of mandarin and yuzu, complemented by juniper, pink peppercorn, and ginger to add spice, along with a floral heart of rose and magnolia.
Diptyque has also introduced a set of products built around the scent, including a scented body lotion, hair mist and hand cream designed to layer the fragrance throughout the day. Alongside the beauty launches, the brand has expanded its decorative collection with objects made from marbled porcelain, known as terre mêlée. The technique combines black and white porcelain slips to create swirling patterns, referencing the curls of smoke once seen drifting through the Orphéon bar. Each piece is cast by hand, meaning every object has a slightly different pattern.
