RENOWNED for her infallible expertise, Hermès’ director of creation and olfactory heritage, Christine Nagel, has recently launched a new scent for the luxury house – H24 Herbes Vives.
Having been influenced by man’s collective impact on the natural world, Nagel has crafted a delicate scent which channels the power, intensity and sensitivity of meteorological downpours.

Speaking on the new scent, Nagel said: “I was inspired by the happy smell of nature after the rain, an aroma at once vegetal and earthy, fresh and musky. That unique moment when nature and the city, still drench with water, release new scents and take on new colours.”
Transporting its wearer to the ephemeral aftermath of a cloudburst, H24 is effortlessly revitalising and refreshing. Utilising a range of strong herbs, such as savory, sorrel, hemp and parsley, the perfume’s top notes are distinguishable from the first spray.
Similarly, Nagel has made use of pear granita and Physcool – a sensory molecule with hints of mint – in order to make the scent bright yet impactful.

Mirroring the way that light is diffused by tree canopies and grass, the perfume’s pale green bottle subtly alludes to the sun emerging after a rainstorm. Designed by Philippe Mouquet, the scent’s packaging utilises bold, straight line to underline a sensitive masculinity.
Conceived by Nagel’s tireless commitment, craftsmanship and sophistication , it’s evident the new fragrance is set to be another olfactory phenomenon from Hermès.
