GHIBLI babies rejoice! Spanish fashion house Loewe has partnered with the beloved Japanese studio once again to create a capsule collection inspired by Howl’s moving Castle.
Following on from their Spirited Away themed collection last year, which proved to be a humongous hit, Jonathan Anderson continues to profess his love for Studio Ghbili animation with his latest creations: “The world we are living in needs a counteract: not as an escape, but as a different outlook. This, to me, is what Hayao Miyazaki’s animated films for Studio Ghibli are about,” mentions the designer.

Clothing, accessories and bags alike will all be plastered with familiar motifs, including the characters of Sophie, Howl, Calcifer and the Witch of the Waste, sometimes appearing in shearling, and other times decorated in crystal pressed upon leather.
“[Howl’s Moving Castle] tells a story of loyalty and compassion against a backdrop of magic, imposing technology and the destructive effects of war, which makes it incredibly resonating,” remarks Anderson.
