AS OF last week, the Shangri-La The Shard in London has redecorated its venue into a pink fantasy in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The hotel has partnered up with Breast Cancer Now to host a Pink Sky Brunch, Pink Afternoon Tea and Pink Garden mocktail which will be available for guests to enjoy over the month of October.
The highest hotel in London is decorated with pink installations and flower displays truly ensuring everyone’s visit is lavish and dreamy. The Sky Brunch takes place in the hotel’s casual dining room while the Afternoon Tea is hosted at the TĪNG Restaurant and Lounge with picture-perfect landscapes of the city.
Shangri-La The Shard Breast Cancer Pink October Afternoon Tea
As Shangri-La The Shard partners up with Breast Cancer Now, all Pink October experiences will donate £1 per person towards research which will in turn help the charity reach its goal of ensuring that by 2050 all of those diagnosed with breast cancer will live and have the support needed to live well.
The Afternoon Tea looks too pretty to eat as the delectables are all saturated in a gorgeous pink displayed on a serving stand adorned with pink paper flowers. A selection of finger sandwiches is offered with fillings of coronation chicken, smoked salmon, cucumber, and truffle egg and cress. Scones are provided with strawberry jam and clotted cream while the top tier of the display includes a blush sphere filled with shiso mousse, grapefruit and black pepper, a cake with pistachio and sour cherries and Shang Mont Rose with blackcurrant and mousse. Unlimited tea and coffee will be served and for those who feel like a glass of champagne, brands such as Veuve Clicquot can be ordered as an extra.
Be sure to get your cameras out for the finale as a miniature pink Shard building artfully crafted from white chocolate, apple compote and cinnamon sponge is displayed on delicate clouds of dry ice.

As for the Sky Brunch, the hotel is reimagining its extravagant Sunday brunch by allowing its guests to pick from a selection of Asian-inspired dishes. The options include pink okonomiyaki with smoked duck, wok-fried tamarind prawns with ginger, chilli and onion dressed with edible fuchsia flowers and for dessert a choice between a decadent individual pink entremet-layered cake or Shang Mont Rose.
For those who are looking for a casual drink as the sun starts to set, the hotel’s GÅŽNG Bar will be offering mocktails made by a talented mixologist team.
The Pink Garden mocktail is crafted from 0% Lyre’s Pink London Dry, rhubarb cordial, green cardamon, soda and basil oil — ingredients which are known for their possible health benefits.
