KNOWN for their superb tailoring, Alexander McQueen present their womenswear AW20 suiting. Playing with notions of both masculinity and femininity this season, this balance uses contrasts to enhance each look. Dresses are crafted out of traditional menswear fabrics while tuxedo jackets are styled with skirts.

Additionally, tailored evening jackets with trompe l’oeil layered lapels are given a feminine touch with sculpted heart sleeve drapes in either red or black duchesse satin. A particular standout look is the rose coloured double duchesse satin corset finished with a peplum hem over the hips worn with black double duchesse satin straight-legged trousers.
The brand was born out of founder Lee Alexander McQueen’s deep knowledge and experience of tailoring from his time as a teenager on Savile Row.
Once claiming that all his designs are based on tailoring, Creative Director Sarah Burton has continued this approach and celebrates it again through her AW20 collection.
