Claridge’s steps up to help the NHS during the Covid-19 pandemic

LUXURY hotel Claridge’s, located on one of London’s smartest streets in Mayfair, is hosting around 40 key NHS staff currently working in St Mary’s Hospital Paddington during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is the first time in the hotel’s 200-year history that it’s closed its doors to paying guests. The kitchen at Claridge’s will provide dinner and breakfast for each of its NHS occupants, as is providing a daily packed meal via Meal Force to over 500 NHS workers. Claridge’s generosity has extended to the donation of 1000’s of amenities, including soaps, toothbrushes and shampoos, to NHS workers in London.

“Just as it has in the past world wars, Claridge’s has a duty to step up and support the people of London. Teams from all our hotels have volunteered, and we are honoured to help and support the dedicated NHS workers at this critical time. We are forever in their debt,” said Paddy McKillen, Co-owner of the Maybourne Hotel Group.

The other two luxury hotels in the portfolio, The Connaught in Mayfair and The Berkeley in Knightsbridge, will also be ready to host NHS staff should they be required to do so.
