When Dom Perignon and Iris Van Herpen come together quality is of the utmost importance. This is exactly what was on show last night at Hus Gallery in Mayfair when the innovative designer and the time-honoured champagne brand came together to celebrate their new collaboration, Metamorphosis. Stirring up, shaking up and twisting the Dom Perignon formula, Van Herpen showcased a number of her off the wall creations at a champagne, naturally, reception wherein creative boundaries where broken and the poison of choice became an elixir all of its own.

At the event
Mary Charteris and Jade Parfitt took charge in the DJ booth, while the fashion industry mainstays from journalists Suzy Menkes and Hilary Alexander, to photographers who have shaped decades such as Barry Lategan, communed to celebrate the event.
Meanwhile, guests were invited to marvel at Cocoonase, Van Herpen’s champagne monster, an ominous oily sculpture which we were all flabbergasted to observe “It’s alive!” and also forest green. Finally, guests were treated to an intimate screening of the new fashion film that coincides with the collaboration created by Solve Sundsbo and starring Anja Rubik, which, like the entire evening, became a feast not just for our taste buds, but for our eyes.
