Renowned for its ability to inspire, DKNY looks at New York’s literature, music, and creative scenes this season, with its diverse expressions becoming a stimulus for the brand.

Photographed by Mikael Jansson and styled by Alastair McKimm, the campaign featuring Kaia Gerber situates the model against city backgrounds accompanied by quotes from books known for their New York-set narratives.

Acclaimed novels are quoted in the campaign with extracts from Just Kids by Patti Smith, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerney.

Expanding on Gerber’s feature, Trey Laird, Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Team Laird, says, “Kaia personally is an avid reader and book lover, with a vibrant growing online community through her Book Club. So, the concept of the campaign was an inspiring opportunity to connect DKNY’s love of all things NY, with Kaia’s love of literature in a pure authentic way.”
