Moncler Grenoble FW26 – Where Heritage Meets Innovation in Aspen

IN ASPEN, amongst Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Moncler Grenoble presented its Fall/ Winter 2026 collection in a snowy spectacle that combined performance, heritage and high fashion.

Aspen’s evolution from a quiet ski town in the 1950s to a cultural hub mirrors the brand’s own trajectory: originating as practical wear for mountain workers in the French Alps before becoming a worldwide luxury brand.

Guests arrived after a day on the slopes to a forest runway illuminated with projections of alpine trees, where models navigated snow moguls in elegant garments designed for movement and warmth. Quilted jackets, plush long-haired shearling and technical ski suits were elevated with playful details, including Aspen leaf motifs, hand-drawn maps of the region and laser-cut patterns.

Classic 1950s silhouettes – cinched waists, rounded volumes and American plaid – were reinterpreted in modern materials such as waxed cotton and loden, merging tradition and innovation.

The collection drew from American and European mountain culture, blending functionality and style. Down jackets featured reinforced shoulders and western-style piping, while ski suits incorporated waterproof, windproof and breathable fabrics softened with jacquard embroidery. Textured tweeds highlighted alpine heritage, while plush knitwear and tailored pieces reinforced the brand’s commitment to both comfort and sophistication.

Accessories continued the narrative with foulards, intarsia and blankets patterned with references to the region’s landscape, wildlife and customs. Laser-cut fringes and florals added playful movement, while Moncler Grenoble’s collaboration with brand ambassador Shaun White was evident through co-designed snowboard equipment, underscoring the collection’s technical precision and adventurous spirit.

The show emphasised experience as much as design. Guests, including Adrien Brody, Vincent Cassel, Aubrey Plaza, Kevin Costner, Tessa Thompson, Emily Ratajkowski and Maria Sharapova, could only access the forest clearing via snowmobiles or skis, creating a sense of immersion and secrecy.

Following the presentation, festivities moved to a nearby lodge, where rustic interiors and alpine luxury merged, reinforcing Moncler Grenoble’s link to place, lifestyle and community. Live music, local cuisine and curated winter activities extended the story beyond the runway, making the event a celebration of mountain culture.

Moncler Grenoble FW26 demonstrated the enduring appeal of clothing that can withstand both environmental and aesthetic extremes. By bringing together historical references, technical innovation and playful storytelling, the collection reaffirmed the brand’s unique position at the intersection of performance and luxury, proving that winter wear can be both practical and aspirational.
