ONE OF the most influential figures in punk rock history, Danny Fields was responsible bringing us the Ramones, the Doors and MC5. Years later, Fields is releasing a photo-book giving fans a rare insight into what it was like to tour and work alongside the Ramones.
My Ramones by Danny Fields, book cover
Published by Reel Art Press, My Ramones contains over 250 photographs from the American music manager’s personal collection, taken between 1975 and 1977. During this period, the renowned punk rock band recorded and released their debut self-titled album and went on their first tour.

Aside from the band members themselves, the images include recognisable faces such as the band’s art director Arturo Vega, photographer Lee Black Childers, the head of Sire Records Seymour Stein and his wife who co-managed the band, Linda Stein. Out of the assembly of images showing the band performing onstage, meeting fans, partying and roaming the streets, our favourite shots are of the band offstage, showing the musicians in a different light to that which their fans will be used to.
