THE highly esteemed perfume house Guerlain has launched its Muguet for this year. In a tradition going back to 2006, to celebrate, and coinciding with, May Day, the house releases a numbered limited edition Muguet Eau de Toilette in specially created limited edition bottles which, this year, features embroidery from Atelier Bizet, a Paris-based studio which provides designs for many couture and luxury brands. Glass loves a lily of the valley (aka Muguet) fragrance which enchants with its innocent, pretty, soft and floral freshness.
This year’s Muguet from Guerlain
For this year’s olfractory offering, Guerlain’s Master Perfumer, Thierry Wasser, has produced a bright natural, up-to-date muguet with lively green notes of lily of the valley, rose and jasmine. Guerlain say, “Fine and exuberant green notes to heighten its spring accents. Dew-beaded rose to enhance its freshness. Subtly sensual jasmine as a reminder that reawakening nature sends the senses into a spin… Muguet Eau de Toilette exudes all the poetic vitality of a spring landscape.”
This year’s Guerlain Mugret has been designed with leading embroidery company Atelier Bizet
For this year, the flacon has been slightly refined with a slightly rounder shaped, designed to “evoke beads of morning dew” with the neck of the bottle decorated with lily-of-the-valley bells created by another specialist atelier, the House of Legeron, which makes artificial flowers. The central flower of this design holds a genuine cultured pearl at its heart. A glorious tribute to spring.
