BOTTEGA Veneta’s new campaign, photographed by Juergen Teller, offers a vivid meditation on heritage and reinvention.
Under the creative direction of Louise Trotter, the house enters a fresh chapter rooted in its Venetian origins. The campaign moves through a series of emblematic Venetian locations, from the Giardini Napoleonici and the Lido to the grand interiors of Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù and Palazzo Contarini Polignac. Teller also turns his lens to more intimate corners, such as the Angolo Fiorito flower shop near Palazzo Franchetti, capturing moments that feel both cinematic and disarmingly human.

In this dreamlike tour of Venice, Trotter’s newest pieces step into the spotlight with a confident sense of play. Bright, punchy jackets light up Teller’s offbeat frames, giving the collection an unexpected spark. The SS26 coats bring their own surprise with recycled fibreglass textiles that create a futuristic surface. They catch sunlight, shadows and reflections from the canals, giving them a lively spirit on camera.
Accessories join the narrative with plenty of character. Twisted mules bring a sculptural twist, while sleek red pumps add a tiny jolt of attitude as they move through narrow streets and historic hallways. Bags take centre stage as Trotter reimagines the proportions of the original Intrecciato, giving new rhythm and dimension to some of Bottega Veneta’s most cherished shapes.
Together, these pieces turn the collection into a playful conversation between heritage and modernity, full of tactility and forward momentum.

The interplay between public and private space, daylight and nightfall, echoes the duality of Trotter’s debut collection. Tailored precision meets expressive textures and opulent detailing, creating a series of looks that feel both disciplined and delightfully unruly.
Cultural nods to Venice’s creative legends, including Peggy Guggenheim and Truman Capote, lend the imagery a sense of literary and artistic continuity.

Artistic references surface naturally as the campaign unfolds: a sculpture in the Giardini, a faded tapestry in a palazzo corridor, an intricately carved lintel, the deep resonance of an organ at the Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello. Through these touches, the campaign highlights Trotter’s evolving dialogue with Bottega Veneta’s artisans, affirming a bold and imaginative vision for the house’s future.
