Kicking off the first day of Milan Fashion Week, here was a 1960s feel at Gucci in the display of well-known colors of the era, mustard yellow, pea green, browns infused with some baby blue and soft pink.
Luxury accessories included reptile print leather bags, footwear that appeared to combine a loafer and knee-high boot, horn-rimmed glasses with faded lenses and crystal bracelets. Â One material that was not lacking throughout was leather, which was used in well over half the collection.
Looks consisted of a more casual style than usually expected from Gucci, whose present director creative director of Gucci is Frida Giannini, in that blue jeans were a part of the display. However the style was still the familiar strong, sexy, haute couture quality anticipated. A large selection of jackets made with varying versions of fur to suit individual preference. Bold combinations of large sequins on collared leather tops, leopard trousers and tops. The reptile influence was quite prevalent in Frida’s assemblage.
