Bottega Veneta Menswear AW14

Updating the 21st century male outfit into a metrosexual haven, Bottega Veneta revealed their latest menswear collection for Milan fashion week.

Like previous collections, Bottega Veneta encapsulated their signature style of casual chic with the AW14 show uniting both the worker with the everyday man. A sense of comfort was on show, with the models wearing baggy jumpers accompanied with tailored jackets that hung loosely, draped around the body- parodying traditional suits.

Earthy tones predominated on the catwalk, featuring layers of olive green, combined with a neutral palette of greys and blacks. Creating a subtle ombre effect that developed even on the sleeves of the suit, causing a rusted appearance. The collection included a steady theme of nature meets city, with some models wearing monochrome outfits juxtaposed against others in a spectrum of greens.

Bottega Veneta are famous for their high quality leather, which was a prominent feature in the show. Ranging from jackets to smart bags, they produced items that showcased the exclusive craftsmanship of the brand.

The company’s motto,“when your own initials are enough”, echoes through to their latest collection, with each model representing the confidence and self assurance of the modern man.
