Burberry introduces AW22 Pre-Collection Partnership

“I WANTED to explore a different experience bringing my collections to life, so I have decided to open up my pre-collection to a new creative voice each season. Someone special to me who inspires me and whose unique creativity surrounds me in my personal life,” Chief Creative Officer of Burberry Riccardo Tisci explains the desire behind the Autumn/Winter 2022 Pre-Collection partnership.

Brazilian-born, transgender model and muse to Tisci Lea T is the first partner of Burberry’s new creative series.  The ‘Friends and Family’ series begins with the AW22 Pre-Collection.

The collection is an ode to identity, togetherness and the great outdoors – common themes throughout Burberry’s design history. Lea T is a long-collaborator of Tisci’s and was already part of the Burberry family, making her the perfect first partner in the Friends and Family series.

For the series, Tisci will be collaborating with inspiring creatives from unexpected backgrounds for each pre-Collection. It is ‘togetherness’ actualised!

Signature House outerwear silhouettes have been revisited and oversized for the AW22 Pre-Collection. Luxury British craftsmanship remains centre stage and in the skilful cuts of the silk twill short-sleeve shirts and wool skirts.

Mirrored globes and monogram map print motifs celebrate Burberry’s adoration of adventure and nature woven into the brand’s DNA. 

Burberry marches into the future but not without paying homage to their past and taking their beloved collaborators with them.
