AS THE latest luxury brand to join the beauty market, Celine has just announced the launch of its new cosmetic venture.
Following the success of Hedi Slimane’s Haute Parfumerie collection – launched in 2019 – the creative director has now decided to dabble in the makeup industry.
Tapping into French femininity, Slimane has created a sparkling new lipstick collection, comprising 15 unique shades, which will launch in January 2025. The collection, titled Le Rouge CELINE, is centred around beautiful satin finishes and French elegance.
However, for those who cannot wait until 2025, Celine has the perfect offering. Le Rouge Celine’s Rouge Triomphe will launch this autumn.
Le Rouge Celine’s Rouge Triomphe
Expertly formulated to provide long-lasting wear and hydration, the quintessential Parisian red lipstick will build further anticipation for the January 2025 release. Delicately fragranced with rose and rice powder, Slimane has combined olfactory prowess with timeless elegance to create 01 Rouge Triomphe.
Packaged in a faceted gold metal sheath, the lipstick mirrors the sophistication belonging to Celine perfume bottles. Considered a refillable couture object, the lipstick’s sheath was inspired by late 18th-century French-style classicism – particularly Louis XVI’s golden jewellery.
Composed of 89% natural origin ingredients, the lipstick demonstrates the house’s focus on clean beauty essentials. Marking Celine’s first foray into cosmetics, it’s evident that the house understands the demand for organic, sustainably made products.
The house will go on to produce new beauty products – such as lip balms, mascaras, eyeliners, eye pencils, powder, nail polish and blush chases – each season.
