ON MONDAY evening in London, the long awaited event of the British Fashion Awards returned to the Royal Albert Hall. The British Fashion Council celebrated the talent and creative endeavours of our current thriving fashion industry.
The 2023 awards were hosted by none other than Maya Jama and Jourdan Dunn. All who were in attendance were celebrities, retailers, models and media icons. No one had come ill-prepared as the stars of the night came to shine, looking their very best for this gorgeous event.

Lina Zhang adorned in Ferragamo, wore a black poplin cotton halter-neck twist gown, with high split and viscose fringing, black leather sandals with gold cage heel and a frame bag with golden metal torchon handle.
Jourdan Dunn, a model and one of the night’s presenters, wore a bracelet and ring from the Bucherer’s new high jewellery capsule collection, Inner Fire which features a mix of pear-cut, brilliant-cut, emerald-cut and baguette-cut diamonds and the starfish dress by Thaihuy.
Eva Apio attend the BFA covered in stunning Bulgari jewellery pieces, including the Serpenti Viper 18ct pink gold necklace with 138 round mounted pavé-set diamonds and a Tony Ward gown.
Lily James donned a Miu Miu gown in blue radzmire embroidered with crystals.
Micheal Ward wore a dusk cotton gabardine trench coat from Burberry, reef wool double-breasted suit and grey knit vest with black leather barbed loafers.
Jean Campbell was dressed in Burberry. She wore a blue and white knight hardware print crepe dress with white and black leather shield charm sandals and a chrysolite crystal-embellished suede mini Knight bag.
Saffron Hocking wears custom Robert Wun and hoop earrings from the Bucherer Fine Jewellery Classics collection in white gold and diamonds, which she paired with earrings from the brand’s Rock Diamonds, B Dimension and Lacrima collections, as well as a trio of Deluxe rings in platinum and diamonds.
Michaela Coel received the ‘Pandora Leader of Change’ award last night, while she wore a custom Ferragamo two-piece look in mascarpone stretch wool asymmetric bralette and pencil skirt, with brown patent peep-toe wedges.
Anok Yai wears Ferragamo. It’s creative director, Maximallian Davis was awarded ‘British Womenswear Designer of the Year’. She wore a custom look with espresso and metal viscose jersey gown with black leather bonded belt, black brushed calf cuff sandals and the east-west Wanda bag in brushed calf.
Amal Clooney chose to wear custom-made Atelier Versace, crafted in a net-like construction of crystals and features a degradé of paillete. The one shoulder strap design forms into an exaggerated ‘V’ shape across the open back.
Kano came in a Burberry black wool double-breasted suit with black wool roll neck and black leather derby shoes.
Liberty Ross, dressed in Burberry, wore a knight blue and pillar red sequinned silk zip dress with Rose clutch in black, silver Rose cuff and ring and mallow shearling Step Rose sandals.
Paloma Elsesser, who received the ‘Model of the Year’ award, wore a custom cut-out organic dress in black wool crepe and bonded leather from Ferragamo. She is also adorned in stunning De Beers jewellery.
