LAUNCHED this summer, Yauatcha goes beyond solely inviting for a dining experience and offering their guests an interactive dim sum masterclasses led by Michelin-starred chef Andrew Yeo. A perfect experience for those who seek to explore the secret techniques of creating dim sum.
The guests will be able to learn how to prepare the selection of six different authentic dim sum dishes under the eye of Yauatcha talented chefs in groups of no more than 16 people.
The experience will start with discovering the rich history and craftmanship behind dim sum enjoyed with a pot of hot tea, which aims to leave your tastebuds refreshed and ready for what’s coming.
Whilst preparing an impressive amount of dough, the guests will be able to hear about the old techniques passed from generation to generation and the origin of the dumplings. This will be followed by the most exciting part – learning how to prepare the dishes. The chefs will make sure to present how to carefully roll, wrap and shape the dough to achieve a perfectly looking dim sum with all its characteristic pleats, creases and folds.
The masterclass covers a wide range of the dim sum recipes: steamed, baked and fried dim sum such as a classic Prawn toast, my personal favourite, Edamame truffle dumpling or Mushroom spring roll.
The masterclass ends in absolute dim sum feast enjoyed in the sun paired with deliciously light Whispering Angel wine. A well deserved meal which allows everyone to compare their creations.
