Glass reviews Dr. Hauschka’s Hydrating Hand Cream

WE USED to have an expression in Liverpool for being miserly, and it was, “She could peel and orange in her pocket.” Well, this is me when I whip out the comforting and always reliable Dr. Hauschka’s hand cream. Constant washing of hands, these days, calls for constant moisturising if you don’t want dry, red, chaffed hands that look like an illustration of some arid, globally warmed earth.

If I take out this hand cream in plain view of other hand-washers, I suddenly have five new best friends, sticking their hands out and saying: “Give us some.” And while this gently scented, totally hydrating cream has a luxurious feel at a brilliant price, it’s still not something I want to share, because I use it probably ten times more than usual. Now wash your hands: then use Dr. Hauschka’s Hydrating Hand Cream.

Dr Hauschka Hydrating Hand Cream

This is a light, smooth emollient that rapidly absorbs and makes hands feel immediately smoother and softer.  The scent is discernible without being overpowering and a little goes a long way, so you can go right up your wrists (as you should do for washing) and in-between the fingers. It also can act as a hand mask, if you apply it more generously at night and let it work its emollient magic.
