FOR those suffering a morning after a night before, or have just been working and playing a little too hard, there can be nothing more soothing to a Dawn of the Dead complexion than one of these clever little pods of face mask from US-skincare brand Nügg. Containing two disposable pots of a revitalising formula, two of an exfoliating formula and two of a hydrating one, this tube has an instant facial for every eventuality.
The masks are made of a potent blend of natural oils and extracts which are produced without those controversial mineral oils, parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances and colours formulated with over 90 per cent natural or naturally-derived ingredients and are cruelty-free. As the pods are intended as one-use only, there is no need for them to contain chemical emulsifiers either.
Nügg revitalising face mask
I tried the lightly peppermint-scented revitalising one after dancing all night, and it’s cool, slightly tingly effect perked up my tired-looking face. I would suggest the hydrating formula after a long day in a centrally heated office, and the cranberry seed oil-based exfoliating one if you are in need of a deep facial cleanse.
Nügg Holiday Tubes
You can go about your morning routine while wearing the mask, but it’s much nicer to lie down and let it sink in. It suggests removal with a damp facecloth, but I find vigorous splashing of coldish water gets you out of spa mode and back to reality. The handy size makes them brilliant for travelling as well.
