THE Parisian high jewellery Maison Chaumet has just unveiled a new coffee table book centred around the history of the brand.
The Spirit of Chaumet explores the opulent and luxurious aesthetic of the brand, while also detailing the savoir-faire and expertise of its atelier workers.
The Spirit of Chaumet Book
Chaumet has created unique, precious jewellery pieces since having been established in 1780. As a result, the new book has been carefully crafted and organised in a way that mirrors brand tradition.
In 1907, Joseph Chaumet chose 12 Vendôme to be the centre point of his Maison. Separated into 12 sections – as a reference to the iconic address – the book delves into the ways in which the jewellery house became a renowned industry name.
Additionally, the book is written by Gabrielle de Montmorin – a jewellery expert who has written for Gala, Les Echos Week-End, Point de Vue and more. Whilst writing the book, Gabrielle was granted access to the Maison’s archives and managed to explore the historic clientele of Chaumet.
With Empresses Joséphine and Eugénie forming part of the Maison’s impressive customer base, it’s clear that the book will provide inimitable insight into its Parisian roots.
From tiaras to rings, watches and bracelets, Chaumet has stood the test of time and has held its title as one of the world’s greatest jewellery maisons.

The book – featuring 450 illustrations – will be released on the 23rd of November and will cost £65.
